Annapolis is the capital of Maryland and has a rich history. It is a small town that has character and plenty of sights to see over a long weekend. It is also just a short drive away from Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Below are just a few options for food, fun, and adventure.

Eat & Drink

From fancy French fare to late night pub bites, Annapolis has plenty of dining options for every taste. We recommend checking out some of the small cafes and uniquely themed restaurants, such as Preserve. But don't hesitate to utilize Yelp and other online review apps to ensure a great meal.

Play

Annapolis is a sailing town. If you have time you should definitely try and get out on the water. Rent a kayak, canoe, or SUP; take a water tour on one of the many beautiful boats; charter your own and go fishing!

Annapolis is also the home of the U.S. Naval Academy, which is right in downtown. While you are in town, take a tour of the beautiful campus.

Explore

Discover the history of Annapolis. Visit the Maryland State House, the oldest state house in continuous legislative use and the only one to have served as the nation’s capital. Annapolis is also home to the state’s official museum of African American heritage. Overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, the Annapolis Maritime Museum demonstrates the area’s rich maritime heritage and ecology of the Chesapeake Bay. You can also experience the character and history of the city by wandering the charming neighborhoods.
